Electrochemical Water Splitting
Our group also working on the development of earth-abundant and inexpensive bifunctional electrocatalysts for electrochemical water splitting. A part of group is devoted to the improving the catalytic activity of existing catalysts (FeOOH, CoOOH etc.) prepared using electrodeposition method via controlling the materials synthesis, defect chemistry and doping control. We have also developed a facile, room temperature electroless deposition method for the preparation of variety of catalysts (such as FeOOH, NiOOH, MnOOH, FeNiOOH, FeMnOOH etc.) in the nanosheets form irrespective of underlying substrates.
